Introduction:
International Environmental Policy is one of the over 15 environmental studies courses offered by the newly created Department of Environmental Studies and Science at Ithaca College (IC). The 21 students in this class represent many areas of study at IC and represent four of the five schools within IC (Humanities & Science, Business, Health Science & Human Performance, and Communications). Although they all have different backgrounds and majors of study, the students are united by the one common goal of building awareness of environmental issues across campus. After a successful “350 event” this past month (see 350.org for details), they are ready to take on the UN Climate Change Conference! Keep an eye out for the class in the coming weeks as they build awareness of the growing climate crisis on a global scale.
